Life is full of norms and traditions with people dictating what you should or shouldn’t do. If unchallenged, these attitudes will go unchanged. With 2020 being a leap year, we’re reminded that one of these age-old traditions states that 29 February is the one day every four years when it is acceptable for women to propose to their partner.

Klarna believes in challenging the status quo. So, the disruptive global payments leader with 85 million+ customers and 200,000+ merchants, has joined forces with fashion activist and celebrity stylist Bea Åkerlund for its new global campaign – Get What You Love – with some help from her close friend Lady Gaga.

As part of the campaign, Klarna and Åkerlund have released a pair of limited-edition rings – the Knight Finger and Unification – empowering people to propose when and how they want. Known for her innovative and highly creative style and work with A-List celebrities including Gaga,
Beyoncé and Madonna, the two bespoke rings are anything but traditional.

A partnership rooted in the shared art of rebellion and challenging cultural norms, Klarna, like Lady Gaga, has never been limited by traditions or what other people say. They are now calling on Sydneysiders to give outdated traditions the finger by visiting its Love Bubble at Westfield Sydney until March 8.

Open daily, the activation (housed between Zara and Innisfree), will encourage visitors to declare who, or what, they love by flaunting their own unique style to snap and share online. Visitors must download the Klarna app to gain entry to the Love Bubble but all Australians can enter the social
competition to WIN a Knight Finger ring, the same design worn by Lady Gaga when she said YES to herself on Valentine’s Day.

A true cultural phenomenon, Klarna is the pioneer and global leader of buy-now-pay-later and the future of shopping. Backed by Snoop Dogg and loved by Celeste Barber, Klarna allows consumers to purchase products that enhance their day-to-day lives, while creating a smooother way to shop and pay.

Both the Knight Finger and Unification rings are made of gold vermeil. The Knight Finger features 246 rose pink and four crystal stones in pavé settings whilst the Unification ring features a single crystal stone.
