The Keg & Brew in Surry Hills has cemented its position as one of the city’s ultimate craft beer venues with the launch of ‘Crafternoons’.
From Monday to Saturday 5-7pm, not only will patrons be able to get a $4 house beer, wine or spirit or $12 jug, but now they will also be able to enjoy a refreshing craft beer for the same price as a commercial beer. The craft beers on offer will be rotating regularly, starting with the Australian Brewery’s Pilsner.
Simon ‘Wombat’ Kraegen, licensee at the Keg & Brew, says: “Every pub does happy hour, but we think we’re one of the first to offer craft beer at a commercial beer price. The Keg & Brew is all about the love of good beer. We want to give people a chance to try the excellent new brewers of Australia, so by offering select craft beers at an unbeatable price, there’s no excuse not to try them all!”
Formerly the KB Hotel on Foveaux Street, the old favourite has been transformed into a haven of bourbon, beer and bites from America’s deep south. With a rotating selection of 30 taps featuring a huge range of Australian craft beers, cider and six Golden Oldies, as well as three traditional hand-pumped craft beers, it’s one of largest ranges of Aussie beer and cider in Australia.
