After 124 success in Melbourne, there has been much anticipation for a Sydney location, and we are very excited that they have opened a brand new concept store in the Galeries. 124 was founded by Anthony Barbieri and Neville Colaianni who set out to create a solid brand philosophy of classicism meets modernity. 124 offers quality original and authentic footwear in limited quantities and sizes. Before the brand was born, Anthony and Neville felt the gap in the Australian shoe market between luxury brands and ordinary mass produced brands was huge, and they set out to fill this void, and help cater to the local customer who wanted access to shoes with extraodinary quality.

The collection has been sourced from Italy’s finest footwear manufacturing regions, and majority of the brands the store carries are exclusive to 124 in Australia and New Zealand. Each shoe has a unique look and feel, and are incredible quality made from the finest materials and using traditional artisan techniques.

There is a beautiful synergy between the aesthetic of the handmade shoes, and the set up of the very contemporary retail store which almost feels like a gallery. When customers walk into the store, they are entering a creative space and experience – there is a sense of calmness you feel when walking into the store. The new store environment has an amazing industrial edge, taking on the same mood as a gallery.
