Sydney Social 101 was invited to visit Mr Tipply’s in Sydney’s CBD, and as I have a love of trying new things I was very excited.

The venues have an eclectic interior, created by Paddington –based designer Tamsin Johnson, emulates a globe-trotting experience traveling from the downstairs bar up to The Attic. Mr Tipply’s is a versatile spot where it can house up to 1,200 customers over the two levels. Incorporating intimate areas for dinning or drinks, the venue easily accommodates for smaller groups, making it a truly rare and prime find.

Highlights of Mr Tipply’s menu include grilled garlic chicken burger with chorizo sausage, coleslaw, beetroot and aioli to fish’n’ chips, chicken schnitzel and grain fed sirloin.

When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly wait staff to be seated. Mr Tipply’s had so many yummy things on the menu it took us a while to choose. We started by sharing the ‘Kung Pao’ Chicken Popcorn, which was delicious we definitely recommend it.

For our mains we had the Mediterranean Chicken Breast and Prawns and the 300GM Grain Fed Beef Rump Steak with a selection of all the sauces; red wine jus, Asian black pepper sauce, and black bean butter sauce, that come with the different Steak options. Both mains were extremely tasty and my favourite sauce with the Steak was the Asian black pepper sauce.

They have a great selection of cocktails; here are just some of the delicious cocktails they have to offer, Pimms No1, Espresso Martini, Belvedere Sour and Lychee Mojito.

Overall, the evening was a great experience and it was the perfect place to end a long work day and it’s definitely somewhere I will return to.
