Foodie Review 101** Reign QVB

Located on the first floor of the heritage-listed, 19th century Queen Victoria Building, this light and bright stunner overlooks Town Hall and the bustling city. With arched windows, lashings of pearly marble and splashes of velvet, Reign has a relaxed but opulent atmosphere.

With a menu of over 150 champagnes and sparkling wines, from France’s Champagne region to rarer boutique bubbles, Reign has a drop for everyone.  The menu features a range of tasty delights, from nibbles to share plates and more substantial meals.

Sydney Social 101 recently popped into Reign to sample the Royal Tasting Menu and of course a few glasses of bubbles! To start we had the extremely morish Broadbean hummus served with the fresh out of the oven furikake, grilled flatbread, garlic oil and cress. We also enjoyed the melt in your mouth Smoked salmon served beautifully with crème fraîche, pikelets, salmon roe (very instagramable!)

Next we devoured the Chicken liver mousse with green shallot crumpets, raisin jam and the oh-so tasty Roast eggplant purée with miso, belgium endive, pickled onions and herbs.For the final savory course, we enjoy fresh, homemade Goat cheese tortellini with watercress pesto, black olives, cherry tomatoes and the comforting meatball sliders with cumin, chilli and cheddar.

To finish we thoroughly enjoy warm and fresh Donut balls served with honey, yoghurt, cinnamon, star anise and pistachio. Heaven!

For drinks we of course sipped on some incredible bubbles and snuck in a few cocktails! For bubbles we had the popular, crisp and smooth Perrier-Jouët ‘Grand Brut’ and also enjoyed a glass of the G.H.Mumm ‘Grand Cordon – Brut’. Both beautifully poured at our table!

We finished off the evening in style with a few cocktails. FIORI with Licor 43- Dolce Melone, lemon, passionfruit, whites and the GINGER SNAP with Tanqueray Black Currant Gin, crème de gingembre, Cello Lemoncello, lemongrass, lemon, whites are our picks for full-flavoured cocktails with just the right about of kick!

Perfect for a mid-shopping champagne, a bottomless brunch with friends or a long lunch, Reign is a must-visit for decadent, luxurious and relaxed time!
