Sometimes Sydney throws something at you that you don’t expect. Last Saturday was a perfect example. An invite popped up in my inbox to the third Dom Perignon Masquerade Party hosted by Didier Cohen at Marquee Sydney, and I didn’t think much of it. But a last minute rush to buy a mask, and my best friend Kate and I hit Marquee for the first time ever. It’s been a week of firsts! Not only was it a great party, but the host/DJ is a great guy too. Lots of thanks to Didier, Marquee and Dom Perignon for a completely unexpected, awesome night.
This wasn’t the main party in Marquee proper. But a little VIP event in the Library.
Everything about it was fun. There was a red carpet on the way in, which I did with Esther Anderson, who I haven’t seen in years. Turns out she’s doing Celebrity Apprentice at the moment, so is back in Sydney. We were then greeted at the door by gorgeous girls pouring Dom Perignon, before heading upstairs to relax and drink more Champagne. Met the host, Didier and his mate Eti, who were being entertained by the amazing Meegan Finney. Spent hours chatting before Didier had to jump on the decks to DJ for an hour or two. Then we all slowly made our way into the club itself, where everyone danced away the night with the likes of Esther Anderson, Imogen Anthony, Tegan Martin, sisters Helena and Vikki Moursellas from My Kitchen Rules, and a squad of bachelorettes from The Bachelor; plus Cody Simpson and his entourage who made Marquee their final destination before jetting off to LA the next day.
For my first time at Marquee, I was more than pleasantly surprised. I would definitely go back, anytime that Didier is hosting!!
