It’s Mother’s Day this Sunday 14th May here in Australia. Noone puts up with as much as our Mums and we love them from the bottom of our hearts – even when we hate them! So while we try to show our appreciation all year round, we also like to treat them to something that extra bit special on their official day. Here are some of our favourites:

No 1 William St, Hyde Park

Mums with a head for heights will love a special breakfast at rooftop dining destination No. 1 William. Perched on Level 4 of the Australian Museum this new eatery has 180-degree views across Hyde Park, Sydney Harbour and William Street.

Enjoy a fresh Mimosa on arrival, speciality tea or coffee, followed by either Smoked Salmon with scrambled eggs and asparagus spears on toasted rye or Brioche French Toast with fresh ricotta and berry compote. Breakfast is $25 per person and includes a 20% off gift card for luxury loungewear brand, Deshabille.

Lot.1 Sydney, CBD

After celebrating their first birthday last with a fabulous party last week, LOT.1 Sydney has decided to let mums have their turn and exclusively open for Mother’s day this Sunday from 12pm. The kitchen has created a menu of traditional Italian dishes using local seasonal ingredients with a refined modern twist. Enjoy the Chef’s choice of 5 dishes over 3 courses ($69 per person), 7 dishes over 5 courses ($95 per person) or order from the à la carte menu. Our picks are the scallops with trout crackling and the Lot.1 take on the traditional tiramisu which has perfected the balance between cream and coffee.
