Having just released a huge second line-up, the countdown is well and truly on to EMCPlay 2015, the Electronic Music Conference showcasing the country’s hottest young musical talent! Australia’s new breed of up and coming electronic artists will be bringing the heat as they perform for fans, industry decision makers and international talent buyers at the country’s leading electronic music showcase platform.

With a thousands-strong audience taking over Kings Cross last year, this year’s party on December 2nd promises to up the ante and deliver one massive night of electronic music goodness across multiple CBD venues. EMCPlay received over 150 applications from hopeful artists looking for the coveted opportunity to join EMCPlay alumni KLP, The Kite String Tangle, Motez, Slumberjack, SAFIA and Peking Duk.

Some of the big acts already named in the first release include Mashd N Kutcher, the Brisbane duo coming off a huge off a huge 2015 both at home and internationally, Nicole Millar,  fresh from the triple platinum selling success of her Peking Duk collaboration ‘High,’ and electro-pop charmers Strange Talk.emc2

With fans eagerly awaiting the second line-up announcement for the past few weeks, EMCPlay has definitely not disappointed, with huge Aussie acts coming on board to deliver some serious musical firepower. Joining the party is the in demand Sydney production duo Set Mo, who are establishing themselves as a force on the global dance music scene off the back of their new single “White Dress” featuring Deutsch Duke as well as their recent debut festival performance at Splendour In The Grass. Joining them will be young talent Oscar Key Sung, who exploded onto the scene with last year’s EP “Holograms” and this year’s “Altruism”winning fans all over Oz with his sensual soundscape assembles and honeyed R&B vocals.

EMCPlay Program Curator Dayna Young said it was exciting to help pave the path to discovery for emerging Australian artists.

“You only need to look at the overseas success of electronic acts such as Flume, Peking Duk and Alison Wonderland to see why Australia has a strong reputation internationally for developing incredible musical talent. With EMCPlay we’re providing a valuable opportunity for emerging Australian talent to potentially springboard the careers by connecting them directly with the world’s most influential labels, publishers, talent buyers, agents and managers.”

With Australia’s next generation of musical heavyweights gearing up to deliver some seriously good tunes, EMCPlay is guaranteed to go down as one of Sydney’s coolest club nights of the year!
