When Andreas Vural couldn’t find a pair of pink headphones to gift his girlfriend, he decided to spray paint a pair himself. The experience allowed the entrepreneur to identify a clear gap in the market for consumers (like himself) seeking functional yet fashionable mobile accessories. And so Happy Plugs was born.

Fast-forward four years later, the Swedish design brand has finally hit our shores. We were there to help the team celebrate at an official Happy Plugs Australia launch party at Luxe Studios on Wednesday. To the DJ tunes of Australia’s Next Top Model mentor Didier Cohen, we mingled with other media and influencers posing in front of a non-traditional “media wall” of Happy Plugs headphones (miraculously remaining untouched all night!) and sipping from the various cocktails on offer. Andreas Vural himself had flown in to host the event and deliver a speech to commemorate the occasion.

We left with our own blingin’ gold pair of Happy Plugs headphones we can’t wait to rock.
