Long days spent basking in the hot, summer sun, may be beautiful and memorable, but the elements will always take their toll on your skin. Enlist the aid of the newly launched beauty product zk’in certified organic skincare range – produced with clinically proven, certified organic ingredients – chosen for both their outstanding performance and purity – this new line will leave your skin hydrated, shine-free and repaired after another scorching summer, with sustainably-sourced products you can feel good about using.

Sydney Social 101 had a chat with founder, Grace Culhaci about the range and her tips for beautiful skin:

Why is Organic important to you?

Our skin is our barrier to the world, so it makes sense to look after it and not expose it to chemicals that could compromise its effectiveness. Many pesticides used to grow crops contain known skin irritants which consumers unwittingly transfer to their skin via their cosmetic products. Organic skincare made from pesticide free organic raw materials offers consumers relief from skin irritants plus delivering real skin nourishing benefits.

What’s your favorite product in the range?

I have very sensitive skin so one of my favourites in the range is Relief Moisturiser – it’s like cooling silk against my skin. It instantly relieves any irritation and helps me relax before sleeping.

What are your top 3 skin care tips?

1. Try to go makeup free at least once a week, your skin will love you for it.

  1.  Exfoliate before using a masque, to allow impurities to escape without causing a blemish.
  2.  Do meditation, yoga or deep breathing. Elevated cortisol due to stress causes uneven skin tone, adult acne and enlarged pores.

How did zk’in come about?

During my second pregnancy I was diagnosed with an inoperable tumour on my optic nerve. I was inspired to take a closer look at the ingredients used in personal care products I was using. I discovered that products that claimed to be organic or natural frequently contained known carcinogens and toxic ingredients.

I focused my attention on healthy living with an organic lifestyle and a B17 vitamin nutritional program. This was the inspiration I needed to make a difference, I learned to create certified organic skincare products not just for my skin and wellbeing but for the skin of the many other women who had placed their trust in the products they bought.

What’s your background?

I have a legal research degree and worked for many years in the public sector.  My research skills definitely helped me develop the range and manage all the regulatory requirements of the cosmetic industry, particularly organic certification and GMP certification!
