Here is a cause we can all truly get behind, if you’re in the city and looking for a venue tonight – please consider Keg & Brew and Dove & Olive for an amazing cause.

This Friday 1 May, the Keg & Brew in Surry Hills will be supporting Oxfam’s Nepalese Earthquake Appeal by donating 100 per cent of proceeds from one keg of Murray’s Angry Man and one of Stone & Wood Pacific Ale until the kegs run out. Brewers from Murray’s and Stone & Wood will be at the venue at 4pm and 6pm respectively to chat to punters about their favourite brews and help to raise money for the worthy cause.

The pub’s sister venue, the Dove & Olive, will also be lending a helping hand, donating all proceeds from the sales of one keg from Young Henry’s and one from Holgate throughout Saturday 2 May. Simon ‘Wombat’ Kraegan from Young Henry’s will be at the venue from 3pm to chat to those wanting to know more about their top tipples.

Head chefs Devendra Sherchan at the Keg & Brew and Nirajan Khadji at the Dove & Olive are both originally from Nepal, and inspired the venues to do something to help those in need. They will also be creating some one-off Nepalese inspired dishes for the specials menu starting early next week, with more proceeds going directly to the appeal.
